Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the long-term well-being of individuals with brain injury-related disabilities and their families through skills development, support, and advocacy. Founded with support from Shepherd Center and Emory Healthcare, it is Georgia’s only brain injury clubhouse. Located in historic Stone Mountain Village, the clubhouse provides a supportive environment where members engage in meaningful work and social activities, fostering community reintegration and personal growth. Operating under the Clubhouse model of rehabilitation, Side by Side emphasizes member involvement in all aspects of its operations, ensuring a person-centered approach to recovery and community participation.

Be 18 or older. Be independent with assisted devices or accompanied by a personal assistant. Adults with an acquired brain injury who are motivated to engage in meaningful activities and collaborate with peers toward common goals. Membership requires funding resources to cover per-day service fees; potential funding sources include worker’s compensation carriers, state Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Independent Care Waiver Program of Medicaid.
