The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is responsible for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), food stamp benefits, and social services to assist low-income families or families in crisis. We prioritize the safety of Georgia’s children in the decisions we make and the actions we take. We strengthen families toward independence and build stronger communities with caring, effective and responsive service.
