Friends of Refugees has become an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to “empower refugees through opportunities that promote well-being, education, and employment.” Our programs enable New Americans to grasp opportunities while fostering relationships that encourage their growth. We are committed to nurturing relationships with those we serve and our fellow service members. Through these relationships, we express love as God loves us, aspiring to reflect Christ’s love in our community engagements. Currently, Friends of Refugees offers programs that simultaneously teach English to hundreds of mothers and children, celebrate the birth of many babies to healthy mothers, stock family tables with fresh produce from garden plots, assist in launching new businesses, and bolster existing entrepreneurs.
