The Center for Victims of Torture is dedicated to healing the wounds inflicted by torture on individuals, their families, and communities, and to the eradication of torture globally. We approach our work daily at the Center with optimism for a brighter future, striving to achieve the human rights for all that are outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our core values emanate from a profound hope for a better world for survivors, our stakeholders, and ourselves.
We work toward a future in which torture ceases to exist, where survivors find healing and justice, and where survivors and communities restore their hope.
We are an international organization that serves refugee and asylum-seeking populations around the world who have experienced conflict-related trauma or torture in their home countries.
